Year 1 are reading the Little Red Hen this term, and they were asked to look after the Little Red Hen’s eggs. Both Owl class and Robins class, have made sure the incubator has been at the right temperature and they have turned the eggs regularly. Their caring has paid off as this week, the chicks have begun to hatch. At first, little cracks could be seen in the egg shells, and then exhausted tiny chicks emerged. They have been looked after well, and they look very happy and healthy.

Lots of older children have been down to look at the chicks, as well as a lot of teachers!

I’m sure the Little Red Hen is going to be delighted!
