The Fire and Rescue Education Service came into school to talk to the children about how to keep themselves safe in the event of a fire. They talked about how we practice fire drills at school but how important it is to have an escape route at home. They asked children to test out their […]
What a busy and packed last couple of weeks of term! We have been treated to two nativity plays; Reception performed Which way to Bethlehem, and KS1 performed ‘Shine Star Shine’. Everyone who came to watch loved the shows and thought the children’s singing and acting was fantastic. Our KS2 sang, acted, narrated, played and […]
Thank you to our wonderful PTA, who organised a fantastic Christmas Fayre on Saturday. So many people attended and Father Christmas was very busy in his grotto! Approximately £3300 was raised which is fabulous news. A big thank you to those who came and bought Christmas goodies, ate mince pies and played Christmas games.
The whole school has been involved with the speed bounce challenge. Every child in every class has jumped as fast they could to build a class total. Many thanks to everyone who donated tins and packets for our Harvest Service. Some year 6 children did a fantastic job of helping collect and package up all the donations. Our donations are going to Nourish food bank, which will help our local community.
To support Macmillan Cancer, we held a cake sale at break time. Lots of cakes were donated and the year 6 were responsible for selling them. Thank you to everyone who supported this charity event.

Also performing were all of year 3 on recorders, Year 4 with their ‘Story Machine’ rap, and year 5 with their own composition of ‘Bolero’. Our choir also sang beautifully. It showed just how much […]

They learnt how to saw carefully, safely and accurately. We could see who had been the most accurate, once the frames were built. […]
