What an opportunity our choir had last night to take apart in the Young Voices concert at the O2. They have been working hard over the last few months learning all the songs with Mrs Morton in choir practice. Over 7000 children were part of the choir, creating a fantastic atmosphere when they broke into song. The O2 was fabulous, and an audible gasp could be heard when the lights were turned down on the audience, and the coloured spotlights hit the stage. All the children that attended were an absolute credit to the school, joining in with gusto with all the songs and all the dance moves.
Special guests, Alfie Sheard, Natalie Williams and The M4gnets performed, with the children joining in the choruses. Urban Strides, a street dance crew, got everyone up on their feet, including the mums and dads in the audience to join in with the performers creating a fantastic energy and buzz.
A long, but thoroughly enjoyable day. Many thanks must go to Mrs Morton for all her hard work making this possible and the to the children for their enthusiasm.
